“I dreamed of visiting Andalucia for years after reading ‘Ornament of the World’: a book about medieval Spain that explores the golden age when Muslims, Jews, and Christians lived in harmony under Arab rule, for centuries.
A friend referred us to Victor and my wife and I arranged to travel the major cities of Andalusia with him as our guide.
Victor was the perfect choice, with deep knowledge and understanding of the development, history, religions, architecture and literature of the period. He clearly had a commanding expertise and synthesized it all in context very well. Interestingly, he offered excellent commentary and opinions about the state of affairs and customs in modern Spain, which was enlightening.
I cannot imagine finding a better expert guide to lead us on a tour in Spain.
Plus he was absolutely a pleasure to be with as we rested, ate meals, and enjoyed cafe bon bon together for 5 days!!
